Paparazzi Trying To Earn Money by Accusing Justin Bieber

Justin was in Calabasas, where he lives, just after noon Sunday at a mall called The Commons. A paparazzo attempted to take Justin’s picture and, according to law enforcement, some sort of physical altercation erupted between Justin and the camera guy.

According to TMZ.com, the paparazzi called 911, and when cops arrived Justin and Selena Gomez had already split.




The paparazzi complained of pain to his upper torso, an ambulance was summoned and he was taken to a local hospital where he was examined and released a short time later.

He filed a Police Report naming Justin as the culprit. Cops are investigating the incident as a misdemeanor battery.


Law enforcement tells us detectives want to speak with Justin, Selena and any other witnesses.





UPDATE:

According to TMZ, several witnesses at the scene say after the altercation, a lawyer walked up to the paparazzi and said he could get a lot of money out of the incident and advised the dude to call for an ambulance and file a police report.

Witnesses also say the paparazzi had been blocking Justin’s car as he was trying to leave. Justin got out of the car and asked the guy to move away but he wouldn’t, and a scuffle ensued.

Before Hot Chelle Rae “fueled up the Jeep with bubbly elasti-funk and breezy hip-hop swagger” (as Entertainment Weekly put it) with their brand new single “I Like It Like That,” the Nashville-based quartet scored a bonafide breakthrough smash hit over the last several months with “Tonight Tonight.” Declared “one of the catchiest pop-rock anthems of the summer” by USA Today, “Tonight Tonight” crashed into the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in July like an unruly teenager, shot to No. 1 at Hot AC radio in September, was certified double-platinum in the U.S., and certified platinum in Canada and Australia. Meanwhile, its hilarious video (featuring a cameo by guitarist Nash Overstreet’s brother, Glee’s Chord Overstreet) has racked up nearly 30 million views online, energizing the group’s active, devoted fan base. “It's funny because the music we listen to has always centered around pop,” Nash says. “And I think the success of ‘Tonight Tonight’ showed us that we could go in that direction and put out an album of music that we would listen to as well as play.” 

“It created a lane for us,” Ryan adds. “We like the idea of being a band amid all these solo acts on the radio. It challenges you to write great songs. Adds Nash: “I read something this songwriter Jim Collins once said that stuck with me. He said, ‘If you can't write a melody on piano with one finger, then it's too complex for anyone to latch on to.’” The band took that idea to heart, but made sure the other elements in the songs could pull their weight. “One of my favorite things about pop music is, obviously, the simplicity of the melodies, but the underlying tracks have to be really entertaining for the song to be any good,” Ian says. 

The elegant ease of the songs is something only a band with serious chops could pull off, and indeed, all four members of Hot Chelle Rae have considerable musical pedigrees: brothers Ryan and Jamie are sons of A-List Nashville songwriters Keith and Adrienne Follese, Nash is the son of five-time BMI songwriter of the year, Paul Overstreet; and Ian's dad Phil Keaggy is a Grammy-nominated guitarist and multiple Dove Award recipient. Says Ryan, “My dad is a talented writer with a lot of hits to his credit and he has helped teach Jamie and me how to write great songs.” 

Now Hot Chelle Rae is ready to cash in the chips it’s earned with the success of “Tonight Tonight” and “I Like It Like That.” “Those songs set the stage for WHATEVER,” Ryan says. “It’s loaded with feel-good, windows-down tunes that people can relate to and that are fun to play live.” The band spent the summer on the road with We The Kings and the fall touring with The Script in the US, along with a handful of headlining European tour dates. About MeBorn in Orange County, CA... I've been surrounded by music my whole life, but didn't start playing till I was about 14. I began learning the piano around then, took about a month of lessons then quit haha and taught myself from there. Not too long after i took after the guitar and it all fell into my lap from there. Playing the bass wasn't on my list of things to do until i joined Hot Chelle Rae! I had moved to Northern Ireland for 6 months prior and finally felt like there was something waiting for me back in Nashville, and when i came back it all fell together. HometownI am definitely a legit native of Nashville, TN. I was born there, grew up there, and there, and there.  It's such a great city to live in... but don't get me wrong, LA's in my sights.

InterestsLet's see.  Scratch the long walks on the beach.  I love walking through NYC until I can't stand.  Biking is incredibly addictive.  Like, the kind where there's no motor involved!  I love music, obviously.  I am into just about every aspect.  Singing, writing, playing(guitar, drums, piano, whatever), producing(I've been known to make a few Hip-Hop beatz;).  SCUBA diving is pretty insane.  That and snowboarding have a crazy peaceful rush that can't be described.  Hmmm, other than that... who knows?!?
